I really like this coat. It is light weight for its features and I love the shell protection over the down insulation. It was roomy enough for me in the medium size to add a layer under the coat.

Bought coat on a Black Friday whim as needed a new winter jacket for the cold winters here. Wasn't 100% sure on the color (mint green) but it is actually quite nice looking. Jacket fits as advertised and comes right down to the mid-thigh on me. It does separate a bit a the bottom zipper when sitting down on the car, but so far, no issues with re-zipping it down once you are standing again. My only issue with the jacket is a personal preference one in that would prefer the hood were removeable, but that is just me. (Thought it was, but upon re-reading the online description, realized it never stated the hood was removeable, so that oversight is on me.) It does tuck out of the way nicely, so not a biggie either way. Main thing is that it definitely keeps your body warm on even cold days down to 10F thus far. I does make you look "puffy" but that is the nature of these jackets and isn't overly so. I expect to be using this jacket most of the winter here.

Lightweight, nice colors, super warm. I think worth it for the price, better than other brands more expensive. I love my parkas!

This is not a heavyweight, extreme weather parka. It's lightweight, perfect for 30s F and colder with layers underneath. So far, it does a great job fighting the rain and wind!

I bought my Eddie Bauer Kara Koram parka years ago (it is so old that it has buttons instead of snaps). Since then I've washed it several times and it is still in great vocation. The beauty of down is that it keeps you warm when it is cold out, but it breathes when it is warm out — so you do not get hot and uncomfortable. I wear it outside in cold weather, and inside so that I do not have to run expensive heating. My only criticism is the size hood. It is so big that it covers my eyes when I walk, unless I push it back. That is probably because I bought a size XL so that I could wear it comfortably over a heavy sweater. Nevertheless, I'd get the same size again. The only feature that I would add is fur trim (or 'fake fur'?) around the front of the hood, to keep cold air out.

Warmth driven!! Need this warm coat, reaching below the belt and but to keep warm and toasty during the cold Kansas weather.

I bought this parka on clearance so I cannot complain about the price. It fits great in the arms and shoulders, but is a little loose in the middle. A draw cord in the middle would have been helpful and the bottom one is useless unless you leave it zippered all the way down. I usually zip the bottom up a couple of inches to aid in bending and stooping as I walk the dog. Overall I am very pleased and glad I made the purchase.

This parka has existed for years or at least the name has. I wanted one in high school but we couldn't afford it. The design and materials may have changed but the quality and comfort have not.

I wanted a warm coat. I have coats from Carhartt, and USMC sports type coat, both are warmer. I do get child easy. It's say this is good to +40 for me. Not what I was looking for. 650 down. Ducks died of hypothermia. Not sure what I need when zero or below but this isn't it.

Fine for the price, but doesn't live up to the name. I've owned a lot of Karakoram over the years, even sold a vintage jacket to Eddie Bauer themselves years ago. Would like to see better quality.

The fabric and construction feel great, as with any EB product. Love the sage green color too. But the fit is way off. Far too much room in the torso. But sizing down wouldn't have helped because the shoulders and sleeves fit fine. Might've been able to live with the roomy fit if there were a draw cord at the waist (like on the original Karakoram), but there isn't. The hand pockets are super low too.

I just ordered this and am already being asked to leave a review while it is now summer in Texas. Also, this parka isn't as high quality as those as I've purchased from EB in the past.
