I wear these pants 95% of everyday. I especially like the zippered pockets for keeping glasses, phone, or billfold. In warm weather the zip off pants converting to shorts is great for fishing. They fit me very well. Just tight in the waist and not baggy in the legs. I like the stretchy material. They hold up too over time and repeat washings. So far I think I have purchased 12 pair over the years. PLEASE DO NOT STOP MAKING THESE PANTS.

Great product, go out in the morning with full pants and as the day warms up, convert into short.

Dressy yet functional

Bought as a Christmas present for my son and he LOVED it! He does construction work and usually runs hot, so now he can adjust to shorts as needed. Plus the waterproofing is perfect.

These are by far and away the best lightweight general purpose pants I've ever owned and it's not even close. They fit well, are stretchable for ease of movement, very lightweight and cool and have the zip off lower legs and a side zipper to get boots on easily They are breathable, wind and water resistant and dry quickly.. The only thing I would not use them for would be wading around thick brush as they are lightweight as I said. These are vastly more comfortable than the Columbias I was wearing till I discovered these. I now have 4 pairs of the regulars and three of the lined ones.

Casual use when hiking or walking during the fall months. These are great pants that can be used as long pants or shorts. especially with cool mornings and warm afternoons.

I tumbled off the trail in the Rocky Mountains! Several summersaults down a rocky slope. Luckily, I was not hurt. Further, my Eddie Bauer pants also survived intact, with no rips or tears! A tough and rumble-tumble durable pant!

I wear these Guide Pro Convertible Pants daily. Fully attached in the morning and legs off in the warmer part of the day. I wear them walking, hiking, and biking. They are the best bike pants ever when worn over a pair of padded bike underwear or even bike shorts, and for shorter rides skip the padded undies and just wear them as is.

Since EB doesn't sell convertible pants that zip off at the knee for women, I had to buy men's pants. I purchased 2 sizes since I wasn't sure with the conversion from women to men. Thankfully this size fits my husband nicely so we are keeping both pair! The material seems durable for hiking, backpacking etc. Seems a touch heavy but not bad and they seem like they will be breathable. The pockets are nice and deep (side thigh pockets are deep enough for my iPhone 13 (6"). When you zip off the legs, they seem a little long (for both me and my husband) he doesn't seem to mind. Way better quality than the comparable LL Bean line: Thicker, better construction, more stylish fit, better fasteners. The only concern is that there are only 2-colors from which to choose.

Versatile and quality as the Guide Pro product line. If there is any drawback, that is the time taken to attach/detach the convertible parts. Otherwise, it is two Guide Pro products in one. Highly recommended.

EB used a larger zipper on this version compared to earlier versions. The old tiny zippers were a weak point. These pants/shorts are great for bike commuting, the zip off legs extend the comfort range. Fit is perfect for me. I love these!
