These are great shorts for walks and daily kid-wrangling. At 5'2" 138 pounds and pear-shaped with a -shall we say - curvy bottom but average thighs, I like shorts that tuck in under the rear and aren't too short nor too long. These fit the bill. They provide good coverage but still don't feel matronly. In the size small petite, they hug my thighs a bit without being overly tight. The waistband is wide and hits me just under the navel, which is nice to hold in the inevitable post-childbirth x4 tummy. They look great with a tee tucked in the front. The fabric is thick and comfy but not too hot. I'm buying in more colors!
