Great quality for winter outdoor uses overall, resist winds very well

The stretch fabric is waterproof and comfortable. With long underwear it does well on colder/windier days.

Am very happy with these. One of the main reasons for buying them was the availability of a tall size. I like the way the pockets are done and the lace hook. Have not had great luck with Eddie Bauer's storm proofing, but I am hopeful!

While I had my eye on style with function, comfort plays a huge role too. The difference between keeping them and returning them. Since day 1 they are my favorite ski pants. My Spyder pants are still very good and get used for snow shoveling too. I can also hike around in them.

Good value and great for cool and sunny ski days would not wear on super cold or snowy wet days

Nice features- 4 zippered pockets. Built-in belt. Zippered ankles to fit over boots. Water repellant. Will use these for winter biking, hiking, spring skiing

These were my favorite pants for winter hiking/mountaineering in the PNW. They're also appropriate to wear working in the office or working outside. Would love to get some more if they ever come back in 2XLT!

Very nice pant that should last

Solid outer shell for ski season here in the inland northwest. Material is weather resistant, and can be paired with a good base layer for decent winter performance. It's not a replacement for a good pair of snow pants, but if you're out being active and pair it with insulation then it gets the job done.

I bought these for some forthcoming hiking where it's likely to be fairly rainy. I had an opportunity to test them in extreme conditions--60 mph wind-driven rain in a Nor' easter. They stayed dry, even after extended time outside. If they can deal with that, they can deal with anything.

great pants and performed well on chimborazo climb in Ecuador

I bought these for my first arctic expedition across the Finnmarksvidda in northern Norway. Threw these on over a Smartwool base layer and was warm and happy the whole way, despite temperatures in the negative double digits. The zippered cuffs make them easy to get on and off, and the built-in low-profile belt is an absolute must in this kind of environment. The thigh pocket was wonderful, too, as is on all EB Guide Pro pants. It's in the perfect place. My only qualm is with the little metal clip. I understand why it's there, but I wish it were somehow an option or could tuck away. Perhaps include a strong loop and include the clips as accessories? Small issue in an otherwise wonderful pair of pants.

Bought these pants for snowshoeing in Maine, and was a perfect purchase. Kept me warm, dry from the elements. Quality is what expect from Eddie Bauer, made to last. Can't wait to use them for the BW t snow adventures

Love how these aren't restricting and baggy like most snow pants. I'm plenty warm with a base layer on underneath.

These make perfect ski pants. They're perfect in moderately cold weather when worn over a base layer and I think they're stretchy enough to accommodate a thin insulating layer in the event of serious cold.

Wonderful cold weather pants. I usually hike with a base layer and these pants in winter hikes and am never cold! Wind and waterproof in rugged mountain conditions! Love these pants!

Great fit and quality item

Warm, Dry and True to Size. Great stretch for playing with my son and dog in the snow and to wear while shoveling/snowblower the driveway. Arrived promptly.

These pants have infinite uses. They breath well enough to wear over shorts on summer hikes during nasty weather. The inner lining is soft against the skin and they stretch very nicely with my body. I've had them in some pretty heavy rain and stayed completely dry underneath. I know they aren't marketed at being rain pants, but they do just fine in those conditions. Now that we are into the winter months in Michigan, these babies really shine. They are casual enough to wear over a base layer and not look like you're heading to the ski hill. Yet they protect from the cold wind and snow just as well as most softshell snowpants. I would absolutely use these for skiing during the warmer spring days. The built in belt is awesome and holds really well without getting in the way. The interior of the pockets are super soft and stretchy material that feels great on your hands. I have full confidence that these will last for years to come and serve many purposes depending on the mission. The only thing I found myself missing, was a back pocket. Since I wear these casually, it would be nice to have a place for my wallet. Being alpine oriented pants, I can understand why this was left out.

Well made, durable material, with several thoughtful features. My one let-down is fit, specifically, the vast difference between s, m, and l in ski pants such as these. I am normally a 34-35 waist and 31 inseam. Length is perfect, but waist is snug (size medium). However, all things considered, these are a keeper. I realize it is cost-prohibitive to offer these in even waist sizes (e.g., 32, 34, 36, etc.), but it would be nice if the maker added some adjustability to the waist via snaps, buttons, or velcro.

My second pair of these. Have held up well to bushwhacking, good for fall to spring, prob too warm for summer. Well designed and built.

Alpine pants are great quality!

Great pants for a variety of outdoor winter activities. I bought these for my father for cross-country skiing and winter hiking/snowshoeing and they work really well! They're pretty warm with baselayers underneath.

Excellent quality and fit.

Great water resistance, with minimal extra weight or bulk (I prefer to layer and dont want a warm pant), also- the stretch is fabulous!
