I normally wear an XL but I sized up because I wanted a looser fit. This fleece is perfect for certain uses. Very light and breathable, fairly warm, but a bit fragile and likely could snag easily. This fleece is perfect for hiking or backpacking or any other activity where you want warmth combined with lightweight and breathability. I would no buy this for casual wear, but is a perfect layering option for hiking and backpacking. I hope Eddie Bauer keeps making products like these.

For work and leisure outside. It did rip a little on the hood but I pulled it on with a little too much vim and vigor.

Very light, compressible, layering gear.. Great warmth for weight like alpha direct 90 or 120. Not for breaking brush. Take care pulling on and off. Needs a windproof layer when not active or in colder windy conditions.

My friend has been telling me how amazing this fabric is. I got the super sevens hoodie and it is amazing! Very, very warm very very breathable. It is great.

I bought one of these last year and it has been absolutely incredible!! Basically Polartec Alpha Direct but at a way better price point!! Love the kangaroo pouch pocket!! Also, the abrasion resistant fabric on the elbows is a welcomed addition!! Please bring back the tall sizing for this item like last year, Eddie Bauer tall sizing fits me perfectly!! Also more colors too!!

I own 3 SuperSevens fleece tops & wear them under the SuperSevens wind shirt-also amazing. The combo keeps me warm. Get too warm, unzip the shirt & immediate cool down! The breathability is amazing.

I wear this long sleeve top under a rain jacket or wind jacket and I keep very wary. I tested it to see how fast I cool down, I unzipped my jacket and immediately cooled down. It breathes incredibly well, but won't keep you warm by itself. Since I've gotten it, I wear it constantly. It does snag easity but I knew that. The cost of this Super Seven fleece is much less that other brands carrying this material. I will be another one soon.

If you really need a weight conscience mid layer and know how gear works, this is for you. Same warmth for little weight as alpha but is affordable and obtainable. I ditched the puffy in favor of the Super Sevens fleece and a wind shirt. The Kangaroo pocket works well when sleeping with your water filter to keep it from freezing. It is not a rugged bushwhacking garment and should not be used for such. Don't change a thing.

Great product for what it was designed for. Probably not an everyday item due to the barely there alpha fabric design. I'm saving it for hiking days but I'll probably wear it out because it's really comfortable.

I have tried several ultralight hoodies, and this one is the best I've seen. The kangaroo pocket is great, the snap pocket is great, the fit and comfort is great. And most importantly, the hoodie is ultralight for the type of long distance backpacking I like to do.

I purchased all three pieces of the Super Sevens line (sweater, wind jacket, rain jacket) for two purposes: (1) travel, and (2) winter cycling. For travel, I was looking for a lightweight and extremely packable sweater and rain jacket that would take up minimal room in a backpack/small suitcase. I like to travel light, and my old fleece and rain jacket took up a lot of room in a small bag, and I'd only use them once in a while while on a trip. For winter cycling, I was looking for a setup that was warm, but very breathable. I wear really warm boots and mitts in the extreme cold of Winnipeg, but my upper body always warms up fast and I had trouble finding a good compromise that would keep me just warm enough while also allowing moisture to escape without excessive cooling. I haven't been able to take these items on a trip yet, but they are absolutely perfect for winter cycling! I cycled today in -25C weather and wearing a merino tshirt under the three pieces was the perfect level of warmth combined with great breathability. I would highly recommend this setup, especially if you can time it to get it 40% off. The one con that I see so far: You can't just throw these items in a normal wash. The extreme lightweight nature of this line (especially the sweater) needs a delicate wash and a line dry. I usually hate babying clothes (EVERYTHING goes in the normal wash at our house), but this gear is well worth the compromise in my opinion.

I can always rely on Eddie Bauer for modern p to date clothing at reasonable prices.

I spent a long time looking for a high quality, versatile tall fit hoodie for layering with colder activities. I had given up hope on finding anything that fit those criteria before I stumbled across this. This is the perfect midlayer to between a base layer and my shell while skiing.

Years hiking and backpacking and this is the most versatile piece I've owned. By itself, under only a shell or as a base layer under multiple layers, it rocks.

Super epic light weight hiking and skiing layer! has worked really well for me this winter! I am excited to try it out summer camping. You do look a little bit like Oscar the grouch while wearing the green colour, but that just adds to the fun ;)

Most versatile mid layer I've ever used. Looks are deceiving. It's warm when it needs to be and breathes very well. Awesome piece for ultralight pack!

Great ultralight option

It's truly a lightweight heater. Put this over a baselayer (or not) and under a shell and it will definitely surprise you! Warm but airy, weighs almost nothing and is easily the most versatile mid layer I've ever owned.

Breathable ultralight fleece for layering, very comfortable and soft. Polartec alpha type fleece regulates body temperature nice!

Wore this for an entire weekend backpacking with a 25 - 30 degree variation from day to night, very breathable but yet warm. Paired with the Super sevens wind jacket made for the perfect layering system, and it looks good..

This layer is nuts. It's so insanely thin but does such an amazing job at what it's built to do. I've worn it on hikes, mountain bike rides, to the climbing gym, and I can't wait to use it while skiing. For outdoor pursuits, I would not recommend wearing this on its own. It can get snagged and ruined easily, plus the thin nature lets wind pass right through it. With a wind or rain layer, I've been immensely impressed as it somehow keeps your core at a perfect temperature, no matter how hard you're working on the trail. I would recommend this layer for any active outdoor pursuits where the outside temps range from 25-45 degrees. I also wear it on its own at work or running errands. Awesome job, EB!

Great layering option for backpacking, very light

Perfect Ultralight fleece for backpacking. Used it all summer in the Washington Cascades. Remarkably warm for how flimsy and thin it is. Only con is it snags and tears on brush easily so it's not super durable.

Early in the game but super comfy and breathes great. Will be my go to technical fleece for sure
