The opening is a bit too small so it is hard to slide the loop on and off. I took he suggestion of anther customer and used my drummel tool to make the opening bigger. Now it is easy to get on and off worth no worries of acccidentaly coming off. My son got a belt too and we did the same to his and he loves it.

Easy to put on, buckle can be a little tricky to undo but doesn't affect overall evaluation, good value.

These belts are easy to use, going on and off readily unless there is some fraying which is readily corrected by applying heat to the very end of the belt. I own four of them. One in each color that has been available(black,Atlantic, cinder and khaki). Not sure why it is no longer available in khaki/ beige. I prefer to thread the belt through the buckle so that the end is behind the belt. Looks fine to me threaded through the buckle that way. All of my belts were purchased when on sale and they are well worth the price paid. The belts go well with Eddie Bauer Ascent (and non Ascent) hiking, climbing or cargo pants, as well as blue jeans,or semi-dress slacks. It just depends on the style your comfortable with. As an avid Eddie Bauer customer these belts are another example of stylish, comfortable and good quality merchandise by this company.
